Hi, I’m Seth Wiersma.

Thank you for checking out my brand new website. This site has been months in the making but we are finally here and I’m happy to share it with you. Since you are still reading this post I’m sure you are interested in my story and what Apsis Aero (Apsis Aeronautical LLC) is about.

Like many others, aviation has always been my passion since I was young. when I was a teenager, I started with remote controlled model aircraft then decided it was time to look into real aircraft. I would ride a motorized bike out to the local airport on weekends to hangout and talk to staff and pilots. I eventually got a job working there where I got to learn more about the aviation industry. One of my pilot friends I made at the airport took me up on my first small airplane ride on my 16th birthday in his Beechcraft Baron 55 (quite the aircraft for a first time!). After that I knew aviation would be a part of me for the rest of my life. I then went on to receive a scholarship from AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) to start flight training. Fast forward to today, I currently live in Dallas, TX with a private pilot certificate and about 240 hours of flying experience. I am preparing to take both the Instrument and Commercial check ride with plans to start multiengine training in the next month or two. I also experienced my first in flight emergency the other day after the spinner (nose cone around the propeller) came apart on takeoff. Thankfully I was able to land the plane back on the ground and now have an interesting story to tell! Flight training has been slow but I have learned to enjoy the process. There will always be people ahead and behind you in the process so you have to be thankful to be where you are at. While saving up for flight training and studying what I can through the years I have made invaluable new friendships along the way and learned a lot. outside of flying planes I am currently an experienced line technician at a busy fbo (fixed based operator) at Dallas Love Field and have been able to see and do a lot of cool things there.

Apsis Aero is a brand built for aviators. Our mission is to modernize the way people experience aviation. We specialize in content creation, and have completed multiple media projects for aircraft owners and aviation companies. While that has been the main focus, we are actively looking to grow into other areas of the aviation industry with new and unique ideas. We blend high-end branding with an accessible, community-driven vibe that welcomes anyone passionate about aviation. Our platform is crafted to feel premium, professional, and personal. This is just the beginning. Here, we aim for the Apsis – the point where potential is fully realised. We want to empower aviators and enthusiasts who live and breathe flight.
